Hailing from sunny Los Angeles, Erika Levy grew up as a classically trained pianist turned singer-songwriter. Drawing inspiration from luminaries such as Fiona Apple, Jenny Lewis, and Regina Spektor, Erika's songs paint an introspective portrait of love, loss, and the intricate dance between joy and sorrow. Her voice carries the weight of raw emotion, while her melodies transport listeners into a realm where vulnerability meets resilience.
Under the production guidance of Germaine Dunes (Buck Meek) and Adam Lempel (Weekends), Erika's musical journey has evolved from solo piano songs to full-band arrangements, adding layers of complexity to her already evocative sound.
After a life-altering divorce, Erika felt compelled to leave California and follow her once-forgotten dream of being a musician. She found herself in New York City where she lived in a painter's studio in Brooklyn, with a keyboard by her side. She spent many nights battling crippling stage fright at every open mic she could find and was a regular at the legendary Sidewalk Cafe where she booked her first show and met creative partner, Adam Lempel. This move marked a significant chapter in her life, where the essence of Erika Levy, the singer-songwriter emerged.
Her latest single, "New City," drops January 26. The track is about heartbreak, New York, and coping while taking a bold leap into the unknown. This will be the first single off her debut album "White Limo" with 13 tracks set to release summer of 2024.
